Our client, a leading US Food and Ingredients provider, are seeking a Strategy Manager for the APAC region. Reporting to the APAC President, you will be responsible for leading the annual strategic planning process and M&A activities in Asia Pacific. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead M&A activities from sourcing/identification through to successful closing
  • Develop and submit business cases for potential acquisitions, working closely with country and functional leaders
  • Lead the execution of M&A activities working closely with the Corporate Strategy and Finance teams
  • Analyze the existing business and the external business environment to identify areas of opportunity
  • Develop medium and long-term strategic plans that drive robust profits and achievement of growth targets 
  • Develop operating agendas to ensure effective execution of these strategies
  • Actively participate with the APAC Leadership Team and Country Leadership Teams during the annual planning process to facilitate the incorporation of strategic and operating agenda targets into the annual goals and objectives
  • Ensure that strategic plans are aligned with the company’s objectives and consistent with overall strategy
  • Establish excellent relationships with internal and external networks, to gain support of projects and manage the execution of them

Key Requirements

  • Degree educated, ideally with an MBA or PhD, with at least 6 years of M&A/investment banking/management consulting experience
  • Experience of completing deals in the Asia Pacific markets in highly valuable
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills in order to obtain alignment between corporate HQs, regional leadership and country management
  • Prior customer-facing experience is also highly valued
  • Ability to thrive in complex and ambiguous market situations
