Job Description

  • Reporting directly to Asia Head

Our client is a fast growing player in the oil and energy space globally with ambitions to become the leader in providing clean energy solutions.As Head of Operations for Asia, you will be reporting to the Head of Asia. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with various business units across Asia - Gas, Marine, Regional Business, LNG trading, Energy Financial Services to strengthen business processes 
  • Partner with business support functions - HR, Legal, Finance, IT, Corporate Communications, HSE, Strategy & Planning, Risk Management to provide support to BUs across Asia
  • Establish QMS to improve operating model and business processes
  • Facilitate in the development of operating policy and procedures, Implementation and execution
  • Undertake business enhancement projects to identify process improvements
  • Develop tools to monitor the effectiveness
  • Support the Head of Asia overseeing day-to-day business activities, operations and technologies for optimal outcome
  • Work closely with European counterparts to drive alignment in processes
  • Develop crisis management processes and business continuity plans
  • Undertake special projects under COO function
  • Manage office support staff to ensure effectiveness of Singapore office
  • Provide leadership at all levels to the organisation being the operating lead and sounding board to the Asia Head
  • Act as an effective change agent and influence across business lines and functions
  • Responsible for planning and managing resources (objective setting and performance management to support the constant changing needs of the organisation, developing teams and setting up a rewards system.
  • Promote company values and foster a collaborative environment to work with other departments through leading by exemplary leadership behaviours and alignment with leadership team
Key Requirements
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Certified ISO Lead Auditor or excellent understanding of re-engineering, process improvement, quality management systems, or lean six sigma
  • Proficient with data analytics and project management
  • Ability to set up, facilitate and lead process improvement discussions across teams/ functions
  • Experienced in designing and implementing framework of continuous improvement in jurisdictional organisation, addressing efficiency issues, operational risk issues and ability to track and ensure closure
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills - analysing past and current performance and making recommendations to improve productivity and profitability
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills
