A leading Global Medical Device company is looking for a General Manager to manage their business across SEA.They are looking for someone that can demonstrate their agility, vision and professional nature to strengthen their regional teams. Reporting to the Vice President for Asia Pacific, who in turn is your next succession step. You will have a lot of eager and hardworking teams under you that will allow you to tap into the expertise and passion of other colleagues in the diversified, multicultural & experienced environment.

You will drive the leadership and execution of all regional sales and marketing strategies, ensuring that it is aligned with overall corporate business objectives. Uses effective organizational planning and development leadership to deliver targeted results for engagement, accountability, productivity, continuous improvement, growth, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Vice President for Asia Pacific  
  • Responsible for managing gross profit and operating margins in the region
  • Assist Financial, Sales and Strategic Management
  • Maximizing profitability and sales growth through teams
  • Manage and maintain strategic partnerships with key partners and customers
  • Accountable for customer relations, steering, building, maintaining customer business and accounts to support the business growth
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the service provided to the customer through executing initiatives such as, lean management, KPIs system, reporting, monitoring
  • To build the Regional teams to fit the expanding business throughout Asia while establishing the company Brand
  • Coordinate and maintain all regulatory affairs in each region by creating and fostering a dedicated team with the right local knowledge or legislation and global knowledge of the products
  • To govern and develop the overall strategy for SEA and make key decisions about which markets to expand into
  • Establish relationships with local businesses in each region regarding the distribution, procurement and expansion
  • To communicate and develop partnerships with local labs/hospitals/clinics/research groups to further business growth
  • Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, or activities to maximize return on investment (ROI), and to optimize efficiency
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives
  • Negotiate and/or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, customers, or other organizational entities
  • Motivate and develop associates; ensure development of successors for key position 

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in building customer relations and sustainable networks with decision makers within Hospitals/Clinics/Distributors
  • Bachelor's in Marketing or Medical Degree required
  • Experience of handle P&L
  • Sales & Marketing experience within the healthcare industry
  • Medical Science related discipline is advantageous
  • Adept in the medical devices industry and
  • Demonstrated track record in building relationships with distributors and partners
  • Strong business/financial acumen
  • Able to handle up to 40% travel
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Medical industry/Biotechnology/Hospital Research/Medical Device
