Our client, a digital bank regulated by MAS is looking to fill a newly created Credit Approver role.  

Reporting into the Functional Lead in Credit Risk, the successful candidate will be given the remit to putting up credit proposal and support the digital bank’s process in underwriting credit risk transactions. Day to day scope will include but not limited to conducting portfolio reviews, advise on credit remedial process, assist in monitoring the bank’s credit risk position and prepare relevant risk reports; etc.

An existing Credit Risk Analyst/Credit Approver in an established financial institution with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in credit risk management will be an ideal fit for the role. Specific domain experience in handling SME/Business Banking portfolio will be very well regarded.

Key Responsibilities 

• Help to establish the digital bank’s parameters and appetite towards credit risk considerations

• Underwrite credit risk transactions within pre-determined limits and policies

• Put up credit approvals to delegated approver for limits above pre-determined limits

• Assess and advise on credit remedial actions whenever required

• Assist in monitoring distressed assets/loans to help mitigate digital bank’s risk and exposure

• Prepare and analyse relevant credit risk related performance reports

• Provide support in credit products development for the SME/Business Banking market

Key Requirements 

• Degree qualification

• Min 3-5 years of relevant credit analysis/credit approver experience with an established FI

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Adaptable, team player who can also operate well independently
