Job Description:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements (e.g., customer contracts, service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements).
- Provide legal support for procurement matters, including drafting and negotiating supply, vendor, and service agreements.
- Advise on construction-related legal issues, including drafting and reviewing contracts (e.g., construction, subcontractor, EPC contracts).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in commercial transactions.
- Offer legal opinions and guidance on regulatory compliance, focusing on areas like data privacy, cybersecurity, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor industry legal developments and provide updates and guidance to the organization.
- Manage external legal counsel and service providers as necessary.
- Assist in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures to streamline contracting processes and ensure organizational consistency.
- Champion and implement policies for workplace health and safety, information security, environmental management, and compliance with legal regulations.
- Qualified lawyer admitted in Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, the UK, or the US.
- 5-10 years PQE in commercial contracting, procurement, and construction law, ideally in data/tech.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- English fluency required, Mandarin or other Asian languages a plus.
- Experience in data center, tech, or telecom sectors preferred.
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, and stakeholder relations.
- Adaptability in a dynamic industry.
- Familiarity with industry-standard contracts and practices.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
