Job Description

Our client, a leading Renewable Energy developer is looking to fill a Legal Counsel role.

Reporting into the Senior Counsel, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EPC lawyer to join an established team and play a key role in the company’s growth through renewable energy project development and acquisitions.

Day to day scope will include but not limited to advising on general corporate commercial matters, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of EPC contracts related to renewable energy projects development.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 PQE gained from leading law firm (Construction Practice) and/or in-house renewable energy developer(s). Candidate straight from practice welcome to apply!

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Advise on front-end EPC transactional matters
  • Identify and mitigate legal risk in all transactions
  • Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters relevant to renewable energy project development and acquisition
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s policies, processes, and framework
  • Keep abreast of legal and regulatory development in the renewable energy sector across the APAC region
  • Manage external counsels supporting on transactional matters

Key Requirements

  • LLB/LLM
  • Bar qualification (min 4 PQE)
  • Project Development/Construction Practice experience
  • In-house experience in the Renewable Energy sector (a plus)
