Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and support on corporate transactions, M&A activities, and real estate matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including contracts related to hospitality management agreements, acquisitions, joint ventures, leases, and other corporate transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for potential transactions and business initiatives, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to facilitate seamless execution of transactions and resolve legal issues in a timely manner.
- Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends relevant to the hospitality sector, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance legal compliance and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable institution; admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s) is required.
- 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on corporate M&A, corporate real estate, or related practice areas.
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions, with a strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and real estate law.
- Prior experience working with hospitality brands or owners is highly desirable and will be viewed favorably.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different time zones.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and adding value to the organization.
