As they continue to expand our operations in Seoul, South Korea, they are seeking an accomplished Senior Legal Counsel with 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our team and provide strategic legal support to our growing portfolio of real estate ventures.

Position Overview:
We are searching for a Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in both leading law firms and in-house legal departments, specializing in real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Korean, with experience in advising on real estate development, investment, and commercial asset transactions. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to play a vital role in shaping our real estate initiatives in the dynamic South Korean market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements and contracts.
  • Provide legal counsel on real estate development projects, from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and zoning requirements.
  • Assist in the evaluation and structuring of real estate investments.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Act as a bilingual liaison between the legal team and South Korean stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate legal matters in both English and Korean.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the real estate industry.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a strong focus on real estate transactions.
  • Extensive experience in both leading law firms and in-house legal departments.
  • Proficiency in English and Korean, with the ability to communicate and draft legal documents effectively in both languages.
  • Expertise in real estate development, investment, and commercial transactions.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Admission to practice law in South Korea.
