Our client, an international hospitality group is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their legal team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of post-qualification experience and be qualified to the bar. This role will focus on commercial contracts, procurement, and general corporate commercial matters.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including sales, marketing, loyalty, distribution, and IT contracts.

• Provide legal support to the procurement team in the negotiation of vendor contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement-related agreements.

• Advise business units on legal matters related to commercial transactions, including issues related to sales, distribution, and marketing.

• Review and analyse legal and regulatory issues related to commercial activities.

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to commercial activities.

• Provide legal support to the IT team on matters related to software licensing, technology agreements, and data privacy.

• Support other legal department functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Qualified to the bar (Singapore preferred but not a must) with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience.

• Experience with commercial contracts, procurement, and general corporate commercial matters.

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
