Job Description
Our client, a global fintech leader, is seeking a talented legal professional to join their international team. This role is critical to driving the company's privacy compliance framework and managing related commercial matters in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead privacy compliance framework across multiple businesses.
- Draft and implement privacy policies and programs.
- Manage day-to-day data and educate colleagues on data privacy/protection topics.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and various business teams to support product rollouts.
- Stay current with relevant laws and regulations with commercial application in mind.
- Contribute to risk assessment from a privacy perspective.
- Manage external counsels in various jurisdictions.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified to the bar with at least 6 PQE.
- Relevant experience in financial regulations, payments, or fintech.
- Conversational/reading proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Highly attuned to business needs with the ability to apply legal expertise accordingly.
- Resilience and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
- Quick learner and an independent decision maker.
