Our client, a global fintech leader, is seeking a talented legal professional to join their international team. This role is critical to driving the company's privacy compliance framework and managing related commercial matters in the region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead privacy compliance framework across multiple businesses.
  • Draft and implement privacy policies and programs.
  • Manage day-to-day data and educate colleagues on data privacy/protection topics.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and various business teams to support product rollouts.
  • Stay current with relevant laws and regulations with commercial application in mind.
  • Contribute to risk assessment from a privacy perspective.
  • Manage external counsels in various jurisdictions.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified to the bar with at least 6 PQE.
  • Relevant experience in financial regulations, payments, or fintech.
  • Conversational/reading proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Highly attuned to business needs with the ability to apply legal expertise accordingly.
  • Resilience and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Quick learner and an independent decision maker.
