Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UK team and headquarters to achieve targeted objectives.
- Analyse acquisition market opportunities and requirements among major UK and global merchants.
- Monitor the acquisition landscape, studying offerings, product solutions, market impact, and recommending initiatives for enhanced payment and non-payment products.
- Evaluate our potential to meet merchant needs, including through novel products and solutions.
- Foster relationships with key decision-makers, both at C-level and operational levels, among acquirers and potential Key Account merchants.
- Analyse current and prospective acquiring partners capable of supporting us in harnessing merchant opportunities.
- Lead the complete sales cycle to advocate for our services with acquirers, targeting the desired market.
- Collaborate with Legal & Compliance teams during commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate with Product & Tech teams throughout the integration and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with acquirers to disseminate our offerings among key accounts in the UK and globally.
- Monitor the performance of acquirers and major merchants and recommend improvements as needed.
- Deeply grasp the competitive dynamics within the online and offline acquiring industry, spanning strategic, commercial, product, and architectural aspects.
- Possess strong connections with UK Acquirers and major UK and global merchants, maintaining C-level and operational relationships with significant global acquirers and select merchants.
- Hold hands-on experience in or collaboration with major acquirers.
- Exhibit expertise in acquirers and merchants' offline and online payment offerings, product solutions, and performance metrics.
- Boast a successful history in business development concerning significant merchants.
- Showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a sales-driven spirit and pioneering mindset.
- Thrive under pressure within an international environment, adapting promptly to strategic shifts across regions.
- Understand card payments and alternative payment methods like wallets, buy-now-pay-later, and account-to-account transfers.
- Familiarity with the Chinese/Asian payment market and buying patterns in global online shopping and travel, encompassing target merchants and categories.
- Understand mobile marketing, digital services, and trends in technological innovation.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in payments, acquiring, and merchant development.
- Cross-regional experience is preferred.
- Collaborative, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is advantageous, and knowledge of other languages is appreciated.
