Job Description

Our client is a global FMCG label and they are in search of an operations & merchandise excellence manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team of merchandisers, guiding them to success through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Utilize market research and monitor competitor activation to let internal key stakeholders stay ahead of industry trends and consumer preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, channel marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising plans to drive in-store visibility and availability (distribution/OOS enhancement)
  • Monitor in-store inventory levels and motivate merchandisers to implement efficient replenishment strategies to maximize sales opportunities and minimize stockouts.
  • Drive impactful visual merchandising initiatives that captivate customers and enhance brand presence.
  • Manage call compliance and analyze data accuracy as KPIs to evaluate the performance of merchandisers and identify areas for improvement.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a successful Merchandiser or in a similar leadership role within the FMCG industry, plus channel experience in Modern Trade/SPT/GT.
  • A keen eye for market trends and the ability to translate them into actionable merchandising plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with retailers especially with SMKT/CVS operation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • A passion for the FMCG industry, a result-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
