Job Description
HEAD OF ENGINEERING (PHP) | PUBLISHING | HYBRID (LONDON)
Space Exec are looking to recruit a Permanent Head of Engineering/Tech Lead for a well-esteemed forward-thinking Publishing organisation who have undergone a ‘digital-first’ transformation.
Salary: Up to £100K - £110K (+ discretionary bonus)
Location: Hybrid London (on-site 3 days a week in Westminster)
Required skills include:
• Experience building internal technical functions whilst still being hands on technically
• Experienced with PHP and WordPress is beneficial - If you come from a different technical background but have an interest in PHP, that is fine
• Experience with languages and tools such as AWS, Node, Python, JavaScript
• The ability to engage with external and internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
• Sector experience in either: Publishing / Media / Subscriptions
Duties:
• Develop and implement enterprise-level WordPress VIP sites using PHP and Gutenburg blocks in React.js
• Lead the technical vision and delivery on website development, and develop the website product vision
• Manage and build integrations with various web tools and subscription services, collaborating with third-party vendors
