UK Head of Data Governance

£120,000 - £140,000 + Bonus and benefits

 

Working with an exciting investment management firm who are looking to bolster their Data governance team to support in-line with the growing funds. With over £200 billion worth of funds being managed annually, the team are growing across the board and it is an exciting time for them.

The role will be working with the Global head of data to manage and support the development and governance of the global security programme, initiatives and improvements, as well as built out the team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the Global data governance.
  • Work with the Global CISO to develop budget projections based on short and long term goals and objectives.
  • Work with the Global CISO, IT and business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting strategies that effectively communicate successes and progress of the data security programme.
  • Own the Data governance meetings, agenda and actions, always driving a global view and engagement.
  • Assist with alignment and information security compliance activities relating to business, Group, legal and regulatory security requirements across the GIS.
  • Support the Global CISO in the delivery and implementation of the security programme, to mature the security programme and grow security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements.
  • Own and manage the central security governance knowledge base comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations from each of the regional information security teams.

 

Required Capabilities

  • Exposure to a broad range of Data governance, management, pipelining and engineering.
  • Experience managing global data teams.
  • Knowledge of best practice security techniques, standards and concepts and driving excellence across cross-functional data teams.
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing legal and regulatory requirements for information security.
  • Experience with security management frameworks/certification schemes such as ISO 27001.
  • Proven track record of end to end delivery of a range of security projects, processes and solutions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of physical, personnel and IT/cyber security.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ability to manage work within a changing environment.
