Job Description
We are currently partnered with a Series A ($35M) US based Payments FinTech who are on a mission to bring financial power and freedom to all regardless of socio-economic factors by allowing users to build credit on everyday transactions and subscriptions. They are currently experiencing a period of hyper-growth following their recent funding and are now looking to bring in a VP of Engineering who will be responsible for scaling their product and engineering organisation further.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scaling and managing the current team of engineers from 8 to 20+ by the end of the year
- Taking a more hands-on approach when necessary
- Guide the engineering team to develop technical strategies that enhance and scale their product
- Working closely with all stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams - in particular the product team
Key Requirements:
- Experienced with hiring and scaling teams
- 5+ years’ experience managing teams
- 2+ years’ experience with managing other managers (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and/or start-up environment
- FinTech/Payments experience desired but not essential
