Our client is a large well-known Chinese brand within investment banking and financial services arena, to cope with expansion plans; we are seeking a motivated hands on AML professional to join the AML Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, manuals on AML/ CFT controls framework, enhance relevant policies and procedures to ensure that the company’s business activities comply with the latest regulatory requirements
- Provide AML advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements, policies, procedures.
- Design and execute regular reports to Senior Management and/or Board of Directors measuring success and performance of AML Compliance initiatives, program, operations, critical metrics, and KRIs
- Assist with timely investigations and reviews for enhanced due diligence, transactions and sanctions related cases
- Assist/ Manage all regulatory, audits, independent reviews engagements relating to AML/CFT
- Assist/ Manage all sanctions-related incidents, escalations and exceptions
- Provide AML advice in respect to high-risk clients and ensure that the appropriate due diligence is conducted
- Support day-to-day handling of AML matters (including activities in relation to new client onboarding, PEP, periodic reviews, STR reporting and AML advisory support to business functions on AML/CFT policies and procedures, etc
- Understanding of systems and controls relevant to Customer Due Diligence, Client Risk Assessment, Name and Transaction Screening, Transaction Monitoring/ AML Surveillance, and support disposition, selection, calibration and tuning of rules and scenarios
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or equivalent
- Min 8 years’ broad AML/ FCC experience within Financial Services, especially in Investment Banking, Securities and Brokerage firms
- Strong ability in set up and execution
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Strong stakeholder management skills. Strong teamwork, organizational, complex problem resolution skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft office tools and other software
- Fluent in both English and Chinese. Ability to read and write Chinese is a must.
