A leading US Food company are seeking an individual to work with other members of the Global and Regional Strategy team and senior leadership to drive robust and detailed strategies for the company and support the execution of strategy and M&A projects throughout APAC. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist Regional Strategy teams to identify new acquisition targets and assist in the development of business cases, data analysis, financial model, and associated presentations
• Support the APAC Strategy Director with the execution of M&A projects end to end
• Under the guidance of the VP of Corporate Strategy and Regional Strategy Director, prepare proposals for Regional Leadership, ELT and Board of Directors
• Primary M&A activities include:
  • Review of inbound opportunities for strategic fit
  • Financial modeling and valuation
  • Due diligence of potential targets
  • Coordination of regional resources to align on M&A opportunities
• Assist the Regional Strategy team with data analysis and presentation preparation to support the development of Global Growth Platform and Regional business strategies
• Conduct market and company assessment studies independently with limited guidance and supervision
• Assist the Regional Strategy Director and Director of Corporate Strategy in the overall strategic planning processes, and own specific aspects of the annual strategic planning process
• Primary strategy activities include:
  • Understanding of key macro, global and regional trends
  • Market sizing and drivers
  • Developing market and competitor intelligence
  • Business case preparation

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least four years of work experience. Consulting, investment banking or equivalent corporate finance/development experience with M&A or strategy exposure is a plus
• Strategic mindset with experience with financial modeling and/or strategy assessment as well as project management (i.e., capital projects, budgeting/forecasting, organic growth projects, DCF analysis). Advanced accounting and financial modeling skills is a plus
• Extensive working experience across the Asia region is ideal, along with a background in Food & Beverage and/or Consumer Products discipline will be advantageous
• Fluent in English – written and spoken; regional language as native speaker; Chinese a plus
