Job Description
Title: Software Architect
Work Model: Hybrid/Remote
My client is a leading global FinTech platform supporting employees across over 500 clients, many of which are in the FTSE 100 (in the UK and US). They do this by providing financial employee benefits to improve the financial health and wellness of employees. The platform provides salary-linked savings, loans, pay advances, insurance, and financial education.
My client has the backing of high-profile investors, securing hundreds of millions in funding. This funding is enabling them to grow their enterprise and they are looking for a passionate software architect to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of my client’s initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of high-availability systems and responsive services that run on cloud platforms.

Key Requirements:
Comfortable providing strategic direction at a senior level whilst retaining a keen eye for technical rigor and detail, remaining hands-on when necessary
Advocate and can define a cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective
Can show deep knowledge of cloud architectures and implementation features
Can demonstrate the expertise of DevOps toolchains and SRE processes
Be a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for cloud end-to-end architecture
Can define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for cloud-native services
Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue
Have experience with financial services systems and regulations, particularly in consumer credit
Nice To Have:
Are AWS Certified Solutions Architect professionals or willing to be certified
Have worked in fast-paced FinTech scale-ups
Have experience as a team lead
Have experience working on data protection and regulatory compliance aspects (e.g. PECR, DPA 2018, GDPR, FCA, ICO)
