Job Description
Our client is a leading digital infrastructure fund focused on investing in and developing cutting-edge projects that drive the future of digital connectivity. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel with 10 years of PQE to join their dynamic team.
In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing legal matters related to our digital infrastructure fund, as well as the development and execution of various projects within their portfolio. This is a high-impact position that offers a unique opportunity to shape the legal landscape of the digital infrastructure industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Oversight: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to senior management and stakeholders on fund-related matters, including investment transactions, fund structuring, compliance, and risk management.
- Project Development: Collaborate closely with project development teams to ensure legal aspects of digital infrastructure projects are properly managed, including negotiations, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Documentation and Due Diligence: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Compliance: Stay current with evolving laws and regulations in the digital infrastructure sector and ensure that the fund and projects remain in compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Qualifications:
- LLB/Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and Bar qualification
- 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in legal practice, preferably with a background in funds, infrastructure, finance, or investment law.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and transactions independently.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
