Our client, an International consulting firm with multiple offices across Switzerland, Germany, UK, US, HK and Singapore. They support some of the world’s largest financial institution through all stages of the project management cycle. As a result of rapid expansion and client mandates they are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Risk Consultant to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, data collection and analysis on the needs and issues of the client through interviews and workshops to translate their requirements into well-formulated solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations to the client using business proposals and presentation decks
  • Be familiar with origination & operational control framework
  • Facilitate the identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation and monitoring of business and operational risk in the assigned areas
  • Support design and formulate controls implementation; testing and assessment to validate the control effectiveness
  • Organize and conduct review on the documentation, process, policies and guidelines to identify potential gaps against existing controls performed by first line, second line of defences
  • Prepare regular/ad hoc MIS and internal control assessment/ gap analysis reports and recommend rectification or remedial actions to be taken
  • Prepare materials and deliver coaching, briefing and presentation to reinforce staff knowledge of policies, guidelines and operation procedures and promote staff risk and control awareness
  • Participate in business development activities including topic development, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and contract negotiation

Key Requirements

  • Degree holder with 3 to 6 years of experience in the private banking regulatory and compliance area, business risk management and consulting
  • Experience in Project Management and Project Management Office in Business Risk, Regulatory Management and Compliance topics (knowledge on Investment Suitability, Fraud, Client Due Diligence, Cross-Border topics)
  • Good understanding of Business Risk Controls Framework and Operational Risks,
  • Familiarity with MAS and HKMA/SFC regulations
  • Good understanding of data analysis and statistics
  • Excellent spoken and written in English
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
