This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established Crypto firm with solid growth within the region. We are seeking candidates with strong passion in Crypto and welcome those currently doing related complex AML Investigation work within reputable banks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality investigations of potentially suspicious activity on the blockchain, by identifying transaction patterns, trends and typologies impacting the company and users

  • Drive investigations to a timely conclusion following the completion of a comprehensive analysis of information across multiple platforms

  • Where appropriate, fulfil time-sensitive regulatory filing obligations - through Suspicious Activity Reports ("SARs") that are factually accurate and materially sound prior to submission

  • Work with various country MLROs to actively identify and report suspicious transactions for local reporting with regulators and law enforcement agencies

  • Support the development and evolution of policies and procedures with regards to blockchain cryptocurrency activity by extrapolating learnings from investigations

  • Research and analyse current and emerging trends involving cryptocurrency and other digital assets

  • Perform post-mortem reviews on SARs to identify gaps within existing processes and controls

  • Participate in special, investigations-related initiatives and projects from concept to completion

Key Requirements

  • Degree of relevant studies

  • Min 7 years of relevant work experience in anti-money laundering, financial crime, law enforcement, or investigative experience within banks

  • Investigative skills, including familiarity with public record research and database tools

  • Experience in writing, preparing and filing SARs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge and familiarity with blockchain intelligence tools, including but not limited to Chainalysis, Elliptic, QLUE is a plus

  • Genuine interest to further career within Crypto industry

  • Excellent research and communication skills, fluency in English required and ability in a second language would be advantageous

  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Strong teamwork, organizational, complex problem resolution and initiative

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and other software
