Job Description

Working for an established international unicorn payments business that has recently had a large amount of investment and is looking to increase their footprint across Europe, is looking to hire a Sales Engineer based in Amsterdam.

As a Sales Engineer, you will work to understand business challenges, craft and implement world class technical solutions for clients around the world. You will be a technical product expert and manage the complete client lifecycle from pre-sales and solutioning, to implementation and delivery.

Reporting directly to the VP of Customer Success (EMEA), you will be responsible for:

  • Partner with Sales to structure and deliver technical solutions based of the companies Fintech platform

  • Be a trusted advisor to clients with your in-depth knowledge of the companies APIs and product stack

  • Understand client needs, design solutions, deliver technical presentations & demonstrations

  • Create implementation plans, support technical integration and manage end-to-end solution delivery as the client’s point of contact

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Network, Operations and deliver structured feedback from clients, participating in roadmap review etc.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in a technical client-facing role, preferably in payments

  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and excellent technical, analytical and project management skills

  • Software development experience in technologies not limited to web/mobile, REST, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Kibana, Postman etc.

  • Familiar with API-based integration methods and adept at multitasking – managing and driving multiple technical integration projects concurrently

  • Strong empathy for clients with stellar communication and presentation skills to be able to engage business as well as technical audience
