Our client is a large well-known brand name in the Fintech world and has extensive business and presence across the globe. To cope with expansion, we now have an exciting opening for a key hire within the Regional Compliance Assurance & Governance team in Hong Kong

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a compliance and governance program to effectively manage regulatory and licensing, FCC and privacy risks across firm’s international businesses and investee companies
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the risk assessment methodology
  • Conduct forward looking regulatory risk assessment across the firm entities periodically based on the methodology
  • Conduct compliance reviews, monitor progress of issues and drive remediation where needed to address non-compliant areas
  • Provide periodic reassurance and review progress summary to senior management and stakeholders
  • Work closely with other internal functions and teams to ensure overall compliance to all applicable regulatory and licensing requirements as well as to improve overall control environment and provide sustainable growth
  • Identify industry best practice and share insight with other regional Compliance Assurance teams on regular basis

Key Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, business or finance or equivalent work experience;
  • Min 8 years relevant experience in regulatory audit/ compliance assurance/ risk and controls functions in global financial institutions;
  • Knowledge of Fintech, payment systems, money transmitter licensing and stored value licensing is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills with ability to deal with key stakeholders 
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese;
  • Substantial business travels in Asia and internationally are expected;
