What You’ll Do:
 
  • Lead the development of strategic alliances with prominent European acquirers, enabling the adoption of innovative payment solutions across major European and global merchant networks.
  • Collaborate effectively with European and headquarters teams to achieve defined objectives.
  • Analyse the landscape of acquiring markets, identifying opportunities and requirements from major European and global merchants.
  • Monitor the evolving acquiring industry, offerings, product solutions, and market dynamics. Propose initiatives that enhance our payment and non-payment products' relevance in the acquiring space.
  • Evaluate the potential of our solutions to address merchant needs, including the exploration of novel products and strategies.
  • Foster relationships with key decision-makers at C-level and operational levels within acquirers and potential Key Account merchants.
  • Assess existing and prospective acquiring partners capable of supporting our initiatives in tapping into merchant opportunities.
  • Lead the complete sales cycle, advocating for our services with acquirers.
  • Coordinate legal and compliance aspects during commercial negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Product and Tech teams during the implementation and integration of pioneering solutions.
  • Work alongside acquirers to expand the reach of our offerings among key European and global accounts.
  • Monitor acquirer and major merchant performances, proposing refinements when necessary.

Profile And Skills:
 
  • Possess a profound understanding of competitive dynamics in the online and offline acquiring industry, spanning strategic, commercial, product, and architectural dimensions.
  • Boast a well-established network among European Acquirers, major European and global merchants. Maintain C-level and operational relationships with significant global acquirers and key merchants.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience within or in collaboration with major acquirers.
  • Exhibit expertise in acquirers' and merchants' offline and online payment offerings, product solutions, and performance evaluation.
  • Showcase a history of successful business development targeting significant merchants.
  • Display adeptness in written and verbal communication, equipped with sales-driven acumen and a pioneering mindset.
  • Thrive under pressure in an international setting, adapting nimbly to strategic shifts across continents.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of card payments and alternative methods like wallets, buy-now-pay-later, and account-to-account transfers.
  • Familiarity with the Chinese/Asian payment landscape and consumer behaviours in global online and travel shopping, encompassing target merchants and product categories.
  • Be well-acquainted with mobile marketing, digital services, and trends in technological innovation.
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years' working experience in payments, acquiring, and merchant development.
  • Cross-regional experience is preferred.
  • Showcase strong teamwork, result-driven orientation, and a self-starting spirit.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) with additional language proficiency advantageous (French, German).
