Global Medical device company which operates in over 100 countries around the world including China, Europe, Africa and the US.

We are looking for an innovative leader to take on the role of Marketing Director APAC overseeing the end-to-end strategy and execution of the product launches and value-added solutions business in Asia Pacific (APAC).

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be influencing and working with country-based teams on areas not only in marketing, but also across functions
  • Ensure that strategic direction of the core brands is optimized in a portfolio strategy and implemented across markets to achieve the goals of customer wearer share and profitability
  • Constantly evaluate marketing strategy and plans to meet changing needs, market and competitive conditions
  • Be able to define, present/share and always represent a high-value and impactful category plan
  • Work closely with regional, country, global and area/functional management giving input to the corporate strategic plan for product and business development directions
  • Be able to represent the Asia Pacific markets to global commercial management on the region’s needs, requirements, and priorities in both short and long-term plans
  • Successfully implement new product launches with product positioning, pricing, country priorities and logistical details
  • Make decisions aligned with regional goals in association with local leadership teams of general manager, sales and marketing, regulatory, supply chain and finance
  • Evaluate and possess knowledge of competitive trends, market dynamics, sales trends, forecasting for each market and total region
  • To work closely with insights team to gather intelligence and insights to formulate and improve marketing strategy and plans
  • Work closely with regional customer marketing team to develop long term and sustainable partnership programs that enhance loyalty and continued growth with our customers, if necessary customized for different channels of customers
  • Managing and navigating the matrix organization, across all levels of management and peers
  • Have the influencing skills to get buy-in, support and approvals necessary to carry out the marketing strategy and plans
  • Evaluate and control effective marketing spending that meets the corporate goals
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing spends

Qualifications           

  • Over 10 years of relevant marketing experience including brand management with proven success in growing brand awareness and brand share, track record in meeting target revenues and profitability
  • At least 7 years of experience in a regional marketing role, region defined as total Asia Pacific or a sub-region/cluster within Asia Pacific
  • Proven marketing leader of people with more than 5 years in a management capacity with P&L ownership responsibilities and managing people
  • Exposure to working in a matrix environment (preferably with publicly listed MNC)
  • Degree in business/marketing (MBA preferred)
  • Relevant Marketing certifications preferred
