Our client is an integrated real estate and healthcare company headquartered in Singapore, synergistic real estate and healthcare businesses span six countries, being Singapore, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Myanmar, including 16 cities across China.

To cope with expansion plans, we have a new opening within the Internal Audit team which reports within the CFO

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagement.
  • Promote internal audit and its value through audit engagements
  • Align activities with the internal audit strategy
  • Conduct internal audit fieldwork and reviews independently
  • Plan and manage activities within the fieldwork on project sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the audit process.
  • Work with process owners to identify key risks, recommend and follow up with corrective action plans to mitigate the risks.
  • Participate in due diligence exercise for new acquisitions.
  • Prepare audit report for Audit Committee / Board of Directors and perform follow-up procedures to monitor the completion of management actions
  • Support continuous improvement of the internal audit activity through supervision of work.
  • Evaluate corporate governance, risk management and control processes.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in audit and controls
  • In-house experience within Healthcare, Medical and Hospital industry is preferred.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work.
  • Strong auditing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin (to handle queries and concerns from China offices regarding audit matters).
  • May be required to travel occasionally.
