The client’s APAC Headquarter is in Singapore and has extensive regional presence. A key legal role with potential to

be groomed for succession. Working closely with management team and visibility over complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities 

• Managing legal and corporate secretarial scope with support of external agents
• Draft, review and advise on legal contracts, S&P agreements and internal protocols to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Provide advisory on minimizing legal risks and take a pre-emptive approach
• Work with external counsel on relevant matters
• Engage with senior company directors to ensure regulatory obligations are met
• Win trust of regional business units and inculcate a strong corporate governance culture
• Deliver legal training to the business both locally and regionally

Key Requirements 

• Law Degree ideally from a local university and admission to the Singapore Bar
• At least 4 years law practitioner experience either from a law firm/in-house
• Open to any practice group including litigation with ideally some cross border experience
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with multi-cultural departments
• Strong understanding of Singapore’s corporate law and ideally other regions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to travel on a needs basis
