Job Description

Our client, a global real estate company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role will primarily focus on transactional legal matters, including acquisitions, disposals, Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs), franchising, and corporate transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in real estate law, and contract negotiation, and a proven track record of handling complex legal matters in the real estate industry.


  • Provide legal guidance and support for a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, HMAs, franchising, and corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Ensure that all real estate transactions are in compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
  • Identify potential legal risks and issues in real estate transactions and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential real estate acquisitions and disposals, including property title searches, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments and trends in the real estate industry and provide guidance to the business on legal best practices.
  • Maintain and organize a repository of legal documents and contracts related to real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure the successful execution of real estate transactions.


  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong emphasis on real estate transactions.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD)/LLB degree and SG Bar qualification
  • Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements in the real estate sector.
  • Sound knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
