Our client, a global tier 1 private equity firm is looking to fill a newly created legal counsel (8 to 12 PQE) role.

Reporting into the Lead Counsel for Transactions, this is a hands-on transactional role with the opportunity take lead in running complex and high value private equity deals cradle to grave.

The ideal candidate should be an experienced lawyer (8 to 12 PQE) with PE/M&A deal experience gained from top US/UK law firms and/or global tier 1 private equity firms. Strong experience in advising on PE deals is a must.

Key Responsibilities  

• Advise on transactional matters (high value and complex PE deals) across the region

• Manage transactions from start to finish and being actively involved in all relevant activities/execution steps involved

• Advise on legal & regulatory matters relevant to cross border transactions

• Engage with external law firms on deals matters as and when required

• Keep abreast of legal, compliance and regulatory developments in the markets and businesses that the business is operating in and ensures policies and frameworks are stay robust and relevant

• Assist in ensuring and building out best practices in deal processes

  Key Requirements

• LLB from a recognised institution

• 8 to 12 PQE (gained from top tier law firms and relevant in-house roles)

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Team player who can operate independently
