Key Responsibilities:
- General Corporate Matters
- Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and corporate structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
- Regulatory Expertise:
- Stay updated on regulatory developments in the crypto and payment sectors.
- Advise the company on compliance with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
- Crypto and Payment Expertise:
- Handle legal matters related to cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and payment services.
- Advise on the legal aspects of cryptocurrency transactions, custody, and trading activities.
- Transactional Support:
- Assist in investment-related activities, including due diligence, structuring investments, and negotiating investment agreements.
- Support fundraising and M&A transactions within the web3 space.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's operations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Strong expertise in crypto, payments, or related areas.
- Familiarity with web3 technologies and blockchain is a plus.
- Experience advising on regulatory matters is essential.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction relevant to the role.
