My client, a leading venture capital fund that invests in Southeast Asia with a focus on Series A and Series B, are looking to hire a Investment Associate in a newly created role.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment due diligence, including market research, financial modelling, graphing, competitor benchmarking, mystery shopping, interviews
• Portfolio management, including supporting portfolio companies with research needs, analytics, hiring, best practices
• Attend and represent the company in related industry conferences
• Act as a key point of contact for market trends and identifying business opportunities
• Develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships with related partners which enhance the company’s ability to secure attractive opportunities

Key Requirements

• 4-7 years of work experience (consulting, investment banking, start-ups in strategic or product roles)
• Masters preferred (including MBA), from a reputed university and/or CFA qualified
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
• Deeply critical and quick to understand market trends, business opportunities, team dynamics
• Can identify networking opportunities and quickly establish relationships
• Self-motivated, hungry, with a strong desire to grow and contribute to the success of others
• Strong finance, excel and PowerPoint skills
• Fluency in a second language from Southeast Asia preferred
