The client is a leading investment, pension and insurance provider in the UK, looking for a Head of Strategy, reporting into the COO.

The role would involve delivering outstanding quality of operational services, inclusive of Operations, Data, Business Change and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Mould the COO function and strategy including delivering on continuous improvement.
• Build a comprehensive business plan for the function, ensuring strong commercial discipline across the practice
• Manage teams including risk and controls, strategy, salary & benefits, recruitment and organisational matters.
• Encourage and ensure high levels of communication within the department and externally across functions.

Key Requirements

• Strong FS background, whether from a top-tier management consultancy, investment bank or other appropriate organisations
• In depth commercial awareness with the ability to understand and effectively manage budgets and risk.
• Ability to manage projects, programmes and/or portfolios, across the lifecycle of projects and or programmes.
• Experience of contract processes and resource management.
• Advanced understanding of risk management, control & assurance frameworks.
• Understanding and experience of designing and implementing business strategy and operating models.
