This fast-growing start-up provides business-to-business ecommerce platform solutions that provides a range of products across FMCG for brands and wholesalers. You will be responsible for sourcing, managing and pricing of Homeware products

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a competitive price level for products sold on ecommerce platform
• Drive optimal profit margin
• Ensure optimal fill rate and working capital levels
• Develop partnership with suppliers and negotiate the best price
• Bring experience from working closely with any type of homeware suppliers (across plastic, metal, ceramics and small electronic appliances)
• Work within deadlines and assist with strategic planning
• Lead supplier negotiations based on a ‘data first’ approach to crack the best deals
• Identify and partner with reliable suppliers
• Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising purchasing executives and other staff
• Build redundancies - a bank of ‘backup’ suppliers for all product lines
• Manage material flow to ensure inventory is maintained at the optimum level
• Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets
• Lead portfolio optimisation and SKU selection - working closely with the sales team, analytics staff and company leadership
• Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department to promote effectiveness and efficiency
• Encourage discipline in execution by working closely with all internal stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in purchasing and sourcing (within most of that time spent in the homeware industry)
• Supervisory and management experience
• Good knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, with an awareness of deadlines
