A global financial services company is looking for a Head of Public Relations and Communication who will be responsible mainly for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, strengthening communication network with other business units’ communications teams and managing brand reputation of the company via public content distribution and publicity. The role reports to the Group Head of Strategy and will be responsible for the Company’s APAC operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Manage overall communication response to campaigns and projects
  • Align communication solutions with company’s business needs
  • Handle content of publications, press releases, websites, reports and speeches that communicates company’s products and services and vision
  • Responsible for actively shaping the Company’s overall public relations, external and internal communications strategy
  • Be a strategic thinker to support the development of thought leadership content including speeches and presentations to promote the Company’s brand objectives
  • Have substantial experience dealing with senior executives and the ability to make impactful and succinct presentations to leadership
  • Manage and organize media interviews and events for the senior management team
  • Handle media enquiries and media coordination, eg. press materials, Q&As, interviews, forums etc
  • Manage a strong network of media contacts and establish new potential media relations with financial, business and tech media
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to develop PR events calendar

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related disciplines
  • 10+ years working experience in building communication strategies
  • Excellent track record in developing and launching effective communications strategy
  • Proactive and goal-orientated
  • Excellent verbal, written (English, Cantonese and Mandarin), and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in content management systems, social media platforms and other digital platforms for content distribution
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity in the banking or technology sector is an advantage
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
