My client, a rapidly growing series A funded DTC E-Commerce company are looking to hire a Head of People in a newly created role. You will lead all HR strategy and policies, including leadership, culture, compliance, compensation, and L&D.

They are seeking a candidate who has significant experience building scalable people operations from the ground up, recruiting across multiple functions, is extremely organized and detail oriented, and is passionate about building a high performance culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage and lead a world-class people function, including talent acquisition,
  • recruiting, on-boarding, and talent development/L&D
  • Partner with managers to evaluate current team structure and skills, organizational design, talent gaps and hiring plan to achieve business goals
  • Identify, vet, implement and manage recruiting and HR platforms
  • Drive implementation and adoption of key people analytics to make data-driven people decisions
  • Leverage industry best practices while adapting to company’s needs at different phases of its startup life cycle
  • Oversee the management and admin of policies and benefits
  • Oversee compensation and leveling structure
  • Create and execute data-driven and localized people programs to attract and retain top talent
  • Design and implement performance review and feedback process to drive a culture of feedback and learning
  • Oversee training initiatives and development opportunities for employees

Key Requirements

  • Past experience in HR leadership roles in tech startups (ideally having been part of their early growth journey)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Proven track record of scaling talent operations, including recruiting, on-boarding, and development
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a matrix environment
  • Superb communication and coaching skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to influence across many functions, levels, and cultures to get things done
