Our client is a global lifestyle apparel company with a portfolio of world’s iconic brand. Products are designed, manufactured and distributed with superior high-quality and sustainability standard.

This role has to work with regional commercial teams, licensee partners globally and different sourcing functions to support the globalization of the Brand. Develop talent to support business growth towards agreed goals so as to achieve the Brand’s business needs on top of driving KPI results to support Asia strategic directions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 Facilitate and Drive Brand Globalization

  • Considering the Global line to find balance on what needs to be developed through the Brand owned development centers

  • Considering that same style will be utilized by different markets, map out a process to get brand’s approval on product quality & aesthetics while ensuring that this is satisfying needs of all regions

  • Fulfilling regional consumer needs, export/Import regulations between different countries, duties, transportation lead-time; identify countries and vendors with most suitable for all regions for the styles that needs to be shipped to multiple

 Global Order Management

  • Define Global product order trigger dates and work with global licensees and different internal subsidiaries to get orders on time

  • Drive implementation of processes that enables smooth order execution in the bulk production

  • Partner with Global operations and Global merchandising teams to align on minimum orders quantity per styles and minimum order per PO from all regions

 Vendor Management

  • Develop vendor matrix that meets Brand’s design development capability/ capacity requirement while adhering to desired flexibility with minimum order quantities.

  • Provide strategic direction to the team on vendor consolidation and allocation planning for most effective results with cost effective implications under strict timeline/framework

  • Streamline vendor base in relation to compliance status and meeting companies sustainability Goals

  • Understand characteristics of vendors and use this knowledge on vendor planning strategy

Costing Management

  • Initiate costing exercise among regions/vendors to get costing insight for vendor base planning

  • Being able to interpret and present cost components analysis reports and provide insights of findings and improvement plan in a meaningful way

  • Facilitate data integrity maintenance for business including cost saving, seasonal order data summary and business analytics thru teamwork

Calendar Management

  • Support brand to put in place a Go-to-market calendar that can meet brand’s business needs which is also in line with sourcing execution

  • Support team to explore options/alternatives to speed up executions, shorten regular lead-time to pursue speed-to-market approaches

 People Management

  • Team structuring for most effective manpower utilities

  • Identify individual’s strength/development area. Support them to maximize their potentials to deliver in-class performance

  • Being able to build strategic and meaningful relationship with teams, internal/external business partners and senior managements

 Academic Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree holder preferably in apparel related disciplines or equivalent

  • Experience: 10 years apparel experience with apparel product knowledge while at least 5 years of supervising experience
