 Our client is a Private Equity backed private company with decades of successful track record and reputation within the industry. Being the Global People & Culture Director, you will be leading different functions including People & Culture, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Learning & Development together with overall responsibility of organisational Culture & Values. As a valued member of the Executive Team and confidant to the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational expertise on all people related matters within the Group.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Cultural Transformation in all People areas with particular emphasis on employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, industrial relations and health, safety & wellbeing.

  • Build a positive and productive working relationship within diversified team across different locations, ensuring compliance with all workplace legislative instruments.

  • Develop, drive and lead a performance culture across the business.

  • A key to success of this position will be to mentor, coach and grow the People Division.

  • Provide authoritative advice, support and direction to all executives & managers, comprising of in excess of 35000 employees based around the globe.

  • Act with integrity and lead by example to deliver a culture based on the Group’s values, vision and mission.

  • Develop People Strategy and Frameworks which support and build capability across the Group’s workforce, including the development of organisational systems, policy and streamlined processes which empowers and develop employees across all levels of the organisation.

  • Provide professional advice and support to the CEO and Executive in relation to human resources, culture, industrial relations, safety, risk and compliance.

  • Support the CEO to build Executive capability and leadership effectiveness, and assist each Executive develop newly formed teams.

  • Lead and manage the activities of the People team, establishing performance expectations, monitor progress and performance and learning outcomes.

  • Align HR systems to embed sustainability in the culture: Incorporate sustainability into job descriptions, selection and evaluation criteria, employee orientation and training, evaluation and compensation.

  • Manage and forecast the People Division plans and budget to ensure the delivery of best practice and value add programs. Provide reports and presentations to the Board and Executive as required.

 Key Requirements:

  • Degree level qualifications in Human Resources or in a related discipline and/or significant experience working in an Executive/Senior People, Capability and Sustainability leadership position.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of People and Capability theory and practice

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary People, Capability, Sustainability and organisational development strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of an organisation.

  • Demonstrated success in leading, managing and motivating employees and developing a customer focused, productive team and organisational culture.

  • Proven track record in positively designing and implementing change management processes in complex and sensitive circumstances.

  • Demonstrated experience in workplace investigations, conflict resolution and negotiations that require high-level communication and planning to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Sound knowledge and practical application of statutory requirements of various acts and regulations relevant to the position.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, coaching, active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Ability to develop rapport and well-respected relationships and networks.
