Job Description
We are currently partnered with a Series B ($78M), VC backed Payments FinTech who are on a mission to reduce inequity by helping immigrants move money home instantly and without fees through their cross-border mobile payments platform. After only launching back in 2019, they are currently going through a period of hyper-growth where they are anticipating reaching Unicorn status in the short term. They are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the Customer Experience team
Key Responsibilities:
Scaling the engineering team
Collaborating with cross-funtional teams to convert business requirements into a product roadmap and deliver on it
Developing the user-facing mobile app and backend systems that power it
Accountable for top-level company metrics like user sign-up success and first-payment conversion
Mentoring, coaching and supporting the professional growth of everyone on your team including identifying career paths and goals
Key Requirements:
2+ years’ experience in a leading position where you have managed other managers
Experienced working on a consumer mobile application driving user-facing metrics
Experience in growing and scaling an engineering team
Clear communicator who can lead and inspire others whilst also taking a hands-on approach where necessary
Experience in a start-up/fast paced environment preferred
