Job Description

Our Client are looking for a Data Scientist in their Digital department, responsible for leading the overall development of data-driven solutions to support their business objectives. You will work with their Head of Digital Services and business analysts to identify business problems and design and execute data analyses.

You'll be key in designing, developing, shipping, maintaining and overseeing the overall architecture of their data platforms. You will work collaboratively with analysts and cross-functional teams outside of engineering and digital.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of data-driven solutions to support business objectives
  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to identify business problems, design and execute data analyses, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models to support predictive and prescriptive analytics efforts
  • Design and implement A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of new products and features
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting mechanisms to track key performance indicators and health statuses
  • Identify and evaluate new data sources and technologies that can be used to enhance our analytics capabilities
  • Provide guidance to data analysts situated in various departments

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a data science or related role
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse design, data lakes and ETL as well as data technologies and languages e.g. SQL, Python and R
  • Experience with AWS implementations, BigQuery, Google Analytics
  • Solid understanding of statistical and machine learning models and their applications in business settings, with proven experience in developing solutions
  • Excellent data visualisation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations and practices, with knowledge of PII and GDPR
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
