Our client is an exciting FinTech company (Payments related) with focuses on contactless currency exchange across the APAC region. This role will offer an accelerated career progression opportunity whilst leading a regional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously update the compliance and risk framework
• Manage regulatory relationships with the relevant regional regulators (particularly MAS) and ensure business compliance with the regulatory requirements (includes MLRO duties)
• Ensure all required reporting is completed in an accurate and timely fashion
• Establish, lead and manage projects (AML, KYC, PSA, non-financial risk, etc.) to ensure ongoing compliance
• Advise the management on risk and governance regulatory requirements (external) across APAC
• Advise and educate internal stakeholders on internal Compliance and Risk Management policies and procedures

Key Requirements:

• A university degree at undergraduate level or equivalent. Post-graduate degree will be advantageous
• At least 4 years of relevant Compliance (AML/ KYC) or Payments Risk experience in the FinTech, eCommerce or Blockchain space
• Advantageous to have Payments related experience in a regional capacity
• Regulatory liaison experience is a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with senior stakeholders. Bilingual proficiency in any of the regional languages will be advantageous (will be required to interact with various stakeholders across APAC)
• Able to travel within the APAC region (post ease-off with essential business travel restrictions)
