Job Description

 

My client’s a large conglomerate based in Asia and they’re looking for a CTO to digital transform their business, not only for HQ but for all the business they own. They have a strong presence across Asia with a diverse portfolio of companies in industries such as Ecommerce, Retail, Real estate and Manufacturing to name but a few.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Envisage and establish technical vision for the group, building a strategic technology roadmap both for the short and long term.
  • As a member of the Executive leadership team, the CIO participates in and contributes to overall operations and strategy development, bringing a current knowledge and future vision to leverage information and technology in business model design, business processes re-engineering, operational improvements.
  • Responsible for significant commercial and functional digital transformation agenda across which is pivotal to business performance and growth, implementing new ways of working using Agile and Design Thinking. People leadership, talent development, team motivation and engagement of multiple Technology teams.
  • Oversee overall technology landscape, including the company's data, applications, platforms, security, maintenance and systems
  • Introduce and implement new technologies to meet current and future needs, setting timelines for evaluation, assessment, implementation and integration
  • Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations in IT
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices, initiating updates and enhancements to technology solutions
  • Responsible for significant commercial and functional digital transformation agenda across which is pivotal to business performance and growth, implementing new ways of working using Agile and Design Thinking. People leadership, talent development, team motivation and engagement of multiple Technology teams.

Key Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience and over 10 years of progressive technical leadership experience including previous VP and/or CTO roles.
  • Hands-on experience in driving significant technology transformation programs in a large and complex corporate organization and managing stakeholder relationships between IT and the Business.
  • Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
