A leading financial services company in Asia Pacific is looking for a Chief Risk Officer who will be responsible for the strengthening of risk culture via risk management operations, including overseeing company’s risk identification and mitigation activities – which involve financial auditing, fraud prevention, disaster recovery planning, and input of regulatory compliance data.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise risk, legal and compliance departments to ensure the risk control process and structure are effective and up to date according to the regulatory requirements
• Develop risk maps and strategic action plans to mitigate the company's primary threats
• Monitor the progress of the plans
• Carry out risk analysis and progress reports and present the evaluation to board members and other stakeholders
• Identify possible operational risk including employee errors and system failures, and initiate strategic plans against these risks
• Collaborate with stakeholders for understanding of the products, systems and process
• Quantify the amount of risk the company should take on
• Control the funding and budgeting of the strategic plans
• Recruit and train your team

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management or related fields
• Minimum 15 years of experience in risk management
• Experience in retail banking credit and strategy risk
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Mandarin)
• Knowledge of the HKMA regulatory guidelines
