Job Description

My client, a tech unicorn and one of Southeast Asia's largest e-commerce platform, are looking to hire a Chief of Staff to directly support the Chief Operating Officer and other members of the senior leadership team.

You will drive strategy, growth, and execution across all of the company’s operating markets (currently Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identification & analysis of growth opportunities within the business
  • Definition of key commercial and operational strategies to drive the company’s growth
  • Setup & refinement of company-wide performance management & incentive structures
  • Alignment of strategy & processes across the various markets
  • Identification & implementation of product- & tech-driven improvements (website, platform, app etc.)
  • Regular brainstorming sessions with the COO & other key members of the leadership team on business strategy, growth opportunities & process improvements
  • Frequent alignment with country heads/GMs on key strategic initiatives, ensuring proper execution on the ground & identification of support needs from group/regional teams
  • Close collaboration with Data/BI team to ensure proper monitoring & presentation of key business metrics (Tableau)
  • Take charge of key weekly & monthly management meetings, including ownership of format, collation & sense-check of deliverables, as well as distribution of key insights/minutes afterwards
  • Support the COO in all daily tasks required to successfully operate & grow the business, including close coordination with country heads & regional/functional leaders

Key Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years’ experience at a leading management consulting firm
  • Additional experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Experience working across the Southeast Asia
  • Significant hands-on experience building & scaling a fast-growing company
  • A solid understanding of business strategy
  • Advanced analytical & problem-solving skills
  • A firm grasp on operational & commercial KPIs of a marketplace business
  • An entrepreneurial/growth mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
  • A healthy balance between IQ & EQ
  • Potential to develop into a senior leadership role at the company
