As the EMEA Category & Insights Manager, you will operate within a dynamic environment and collaborate closely with regional sales, brand, and shopper teams. Serving as a prominent voice for market intelligence, category insights, and shopper behaviours, you will influence both regional and central teams. Your proficiency in using syndicated data and custom research will underpin the development of influential insights and recommendations to bolster our commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Category & Channel Strategy: Localize the global category vision by seamlessly integrating local insights on categories, shoppers, consumers, and brand dynamics. Translate this vision into targeted customer insights to drive growth within the EMEA region.
- Portfolio Acceleration & Innovation: Employ shopper-centric evidence to validate the potential of new products across diverse categories, ensuring portfolio efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leveraging Insights for Decision-making: Assume the role of the category and shopper "expert," delivering thought leadership to the EMEA demand generation team. Offer an integrated perspective on category trends, shopper behaviours, and market dynamics, aiding strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Building Collaborative Relationships: Forge robust partnerships with both regional and central teams, fostering a data-driven approach to recommendations and decisions. Skilfully communicate insights to diverse business stakeholders to maximize their impact.
- Measuring Actionable Performance: Develop and manage a comprehensive regional performance dashboard encompassing key shopper and category metrics across all channels. Identify the critical drivers of business growth and assess the performance of KPIs related to trade activations, marketing, and promotions. Incorporate omnichannel KPIs to enhance the excellence of both offline and online activities.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in category management and shopper insights within the FMCG sector, ideally within EMEA markets, with exposure to retailers like Carrefour, Tesco, Auchan, Lidl, etc. Direct interaction with retailers is a plus.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in working with leading category and shopper data providers, including but not limited to Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, Edge, Kantar, Mintel, and Euromonitor.
- Previous exposure to retailer-specific category data platforms, such as Walmart Beats, is advantageous.
