Our client, the trading arm of a global conglomerate headquartered in Singapore is looking to fill an Assistant Manager role in the HR department.

The role acts as right-hand to the HR Team Lead and oversees projects and strategic elements for the HQ based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be exposed to full spectrum HR matters and partner with global teams. Key remits will also include employee upskilling, organizing campus/graduate programs and operational elements.

Key Responsibilities 

• Act as key person for employee growth programs, coordinating with HR counterparts overseas.
• Oversee full project lifelines and forge strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Liaise with educational institutions for outreach programs, internships and networking events.
• Contribute and guide company leadership in succession planning and HR related matters.
• Manage and refine company policies and practices.
• Oversee and guide juniors in carrying out operational matters as and when necessary.
• Provide overall support and counsel on HR related issues.

Key Requirements 

• Degree certified with 4+ years of experience in relevant role supporting MNCs.
• Strong knowledge of matters pertaining to the Employment Act, exposure to other Asia regions a bonus.
• Well-versed in talent development initiatives and outreach programs.
• IT Savvy. Proficiency in HR systems and software (i.e. Excel) would be beneficial.
• Self-starter. Able to function well in a diplomatic and consensus-based environment.
