Our client, a digital infrastructure MNC is looking to fill a newly created APAC Regional Counsel (4 to 8 PQE) role.

Reporting into the APAC General Counsel, the successful candidate will be given the remit to advise on a broad range transactional and general corporate commercial matters across the APAC region.

A transactional lawyer (min 4 PQE) with good project finance, front-end construction and/or real estate acquisition experience will be a great fit for the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers in private practice to transit into an in-house role with broad commercial exposure.

Key Responsibilities 

• Advise on transactional matters across the APAC region

• Advise on general corporate commercial matters

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts

• Advise stakeholders on possible legal risk and provide mitigation strategies

• Assist in the drafting of legal policies, guidelines, legal templates, and other documents to ensure best practices

• Work with external counsels (whenever appropriate) on a wide array of matters

• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the company’s key markets in APAC and advise stakeholders accordingly

Key Requirements

• LLB/LLM qualified

• Min 4 PQE

• Prior transactional experience (gained in law firm and/or in-house roles) would be highly regarded

• Experience in Project Finance/Front-End Construction/Real Estate Acquisition (Data Centre assets a big plus)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Team player who can operate independently and in a fast-paced environment
