A leading Payments company are seeking an Accounting Manager to be responsible for maintaining and driving controllership rigor and discipline and ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across Thailand and other SEA entities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Preparation of monthly financial reports and analytics to support a structured risk-based monthly financial review
• Work closely with shared services team to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP & IFFRS
• Ensure regular review of account reconciliations including follow up and closure of open items
• Ensure timely completion of statutory audits for all entities
• Review business processes to improve/ strengthen internal controls and track remediation of control deficiencies
• Work closely with tax, transfer pricing and Intercompany teams to ensure tax structure is appropriately operationalized
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting to statistical and commercial bureaus
• Liaise with tax team to ensure timely tax and VAT filings
• Liaising with local tax bureau officials in Singapore and support all data requirements for their reviews
• Playing the role of a key stakeholder providing inputs during the build phase. Ensuring sustainable processes and controls are setup to support new product introduction in local markets.
• Ensure new regulations and changes are incorporated and operationalized in a timely manner to support growth

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CA or CPA qualified 
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Experience with audit procedures and SOX compliance requirements
• Prior working experience in a Big4 audit firm preferred
• Thai speaker is preferred due to close daily interaction with the local team based in Bangkok
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in a matrix environment and proven success with stakeholder management
• Familiar with use of SAP system and BW tools
