With a strong presence in APAC, this organisation provides critical infrastructure solutions, supporting some of the largest hyperscale clients globally. The legal team plays a strategic role in facilitating high-value, complex deals and driving the company’s expansion across the region. We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join an established legal team supporting the company’s commercial transactions and strategic growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a lawyer with experience in colocation, data centre leasing, and commercial contracts. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, negotiating and advising on complex agreements with major technology clients, including hyperscalers. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on colocation agreements, data centre leasing, and other high-value commercial contracts.
  • Support strategic deals with hyperscalers and enterprise customers, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide legal guidance on risk management, contract structuring, and industry-specific considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and business development, to support the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Work on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to the digital infrastructure sector.
  • Assist in resolving disputes, managing contract execution, and supporting corporate governance initiatives.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 PQE, gained in a law firm, in-house, or a mix of both.
  • Strong experience in commercial transactions, leasing, colocation, or data centre agreements.
  • Familiarity with digital infrastructure, real estate, or technology sectors is highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage complex negotiations and work on high-value transactions.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Admission to practice law in Australia.
