Forward Deployed Engineer (USA) – Conversational AI

 

A Series A AI start-up ($20M funding) is building a no-code platform for enterprise voice AI agents, automating phone-based workflows across contact centers and BPOs. The platform is already used by 1,000+ customers, saving 5M+ hours of operations and handling 45M calls with 99.9% uptime.

 

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll work directly with enterprise clients to implement, customize, and optimize AI voice agents. You’ll bridge engineering, product, and customer success to ensure deployments deliver real operational impact. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you’re both a builder and strategic partner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end AI voice agent deployments from design to go-live.
  • Collaborate with customer engineering, operations, and success teams to align technical deployments with business goals.
  • Build and maintain integrations with CRMs, telephony, and workflow automation tools.
  • Identify optimization opportunities to drive adoption and measurable impact.
  • Act as the technical voice of the customer, feeding insights to product and engineering.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent technical issues for reliable production environments.
  • Develop best practices, playbooks, and documentation to support future deployments.

 

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (mandatory)
  • 3–6 years in a technical customer-facing role (FDE, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Engineer)
  • Hands-on coding with Python, JavaScript, or low-code tools
  • Experience with enterprise software implementations, APIs, CRMs, or telephony platforms
  • Interest or experience in AI/ML technologies, especially conversational AI or LLMs
  • Strong communication skills, bridging technical and business perspectives
  • Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with telephony, SIP, or contact center systems
  • Knowledge of LLM prompting, AI orchestration, or intelligent automation
  • Experience with enterprise post-sales frameworks and driving renewals/expansions
