Creative Director

Salary up to $60,000

An innovative consumer tech and gaming product is building a brand-new interactive platform that blends physical hardware with software, games and digital experiences. Design is central to the product, and we’re now looking for a Creative Director to lead and unify the visual direction across the entire ecosystem.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll define how the product looks, feels and evolves across hardware, UI, games, brand and marketing.
The role
You’ll own the overall visual and artistic vision across the platform and ecosystem
You’ll define and maintain a consistent visual language across hardware, UI, games, brand and marketing
You’ll lead creative production and uphold high artistic standards
You’ll work closely with product, engineering and leadership on experience and product direction
You’ll lead and mentor design and art teams across product, brand and games
You’ll build and optimise design and art production pipelines
You’ll plan workloads, timelines and resources with producers
You’ll manage external studios, contractors and creative partners
You’ll support hiring, mentoring and design reviews
You’ll oversee UI and UX across device software, app ecosystems, mobile apps and web
You’ll guide visual direction for first-party content and align third-party work to platform standards
You’ll support presentations, demos, trailers and showcases
You’ll stay hands-on when needed and personally deliver key design work
What we’re looking for
Experience as a Creative Director, Art Director or Head of Design
Background leading design across platforms, ecosystems or complex products
A strong portfolio covering UI, games, platforms or brand systems
Experience managing and developing creative teams
Solid understanding of design production workflows and pipelines
Confidence explaining and defending design decisions
Comfort working closely with engineers, product managers and marketing teams
Experience in R&D or fast-moving product environments
Hands-on skills
Strong foundations in composition, colour and visual communication
Ability to create concepts, moodboards and visual direction
UI and UX experience for devices, apps, ecosystems or games
Motion design for interfaces
Experience with packaging, print, retail assets and merchandise
Understanding of pre-press and print production
Comfort working with print vendors and quality control
Conceptual understanding of hardware or industrial design
Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, Lottie and modern AI design tools
This role suits someone with strong creative vision who enjoys building teams, systems and products from the ground up, not just supervising from a distance.
